About

The Latin words to this are ‘Ubi caritas et amor, ubi caritas, Deus ibi est.’ This translates as “Where charity and love are found, God is there.” Associated with Maundy Thursday by tradition, it is unknown how old this chant is; possibly late 8th century. Maurine Durufle (1902-1986) wrote a choral arrangement based on the chant and here is a Mountain Dulcimer duet arranged from that.
